In this tutorial, Taylor shares three techniques for converting PowerPoint to PDF within Microsoft PowerPoint without using third-party tools. It is highlighted that not all content from a PowerPoint presentation will convert accurately to PDF, emphasizing the need for spot-checking before conversion. The main benefits of converting PPT to PDF include reducing the file size for easier sharing, as demonstrated by Taylor with a significant decrease in file size from 11.4 MB to 3.4 MB. The easiest way to include a PDF file in your presentation is simply by using your PDF reader. Most video call applications let you share your screen and display the PDF to others. If youre at an in-person meeting, you can also project the PDF reader onto a screen.
After opening the PDF, move your eyes to the top right of the three dots on the function button, click on it, and select Annotations to see the comments in the PDF logo. The difference with other viewing methods is that you need to move the mouse to the comments logo to see the full comments.
While putting your PDF in full-screen presentation mode shows your slides neatly, it doesnt show your presenter notes separately on your personal device. If you need to have notes on hand, you can always print them out or give yourself concise notes as reminders on the slides themselves.
If using Acrobat, check the box next to Convert Speaker Notes. Then click OK. If using the built-in PDF converter, select Notes pages from the Publish what dropdown menu. Adjust any other desired settings, including checking the box next to Include comments if there are comments you want to include in your file.
