good afternoon my name is Ana whadya and Im a program officer at the Ford Foundation and Im thrilled to welcome you to this webinar on designing inclusive paid leave policy there are 120 people on this call which is just an incredible testament to the interest in this topic as many of you know the Ford Foundation has been working for well over a decade to make paid family and medical leave a reality for all Americans its been extremely exciting to see five states and the District of Columbia enact new paid leave laws these states have all created social insurance programs to provide wage replacement when people need to take extended time off to care for themselves or their loved ones this is a movement that has taken research seriously and has learned from the experiences in each state to improve policies in subsequent subsequent states this is laying the groundwork for an eventual federal policy that is truly universal and inclusive and serves the full range of workers and familie

Working Hours in Papua New Guinea An employee may not work more than 12 hours a day, including overtime. Non-shift workers are allowed one 24-hour rest period each week. This rest period is typically Sunday, but you may outline a different day in your contract.
