File formats that support embedding of ICC profiles and describe how profiles are to be embedded are listed below. Portable Document Format (PDF) (docHub Systems Inc) Digital Negative (DNG) (docHub Systems Inc) Portable Network Graphic (PNG) (W3 Consortium) Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) (W3 Consortium)
Working Space Setting - RGB Under Working Spaces: Unless you or some else changed this setting, sRGB will be chosen. This is not the setting you want for color printing. Generally you would choose docHub RGB. Click the docHub RGB option from the RGB menu.
Save an image as a separate file Right-click the illustration that you want to save as a separate image file, and then click Save as Picture. In the Save as type list, select the file format that you want. In the File name box, type a new name for the picture, or just accept the suggested file name.
In color management, an ICC profile is a set of data that characterizes a color input or output device, or a color space. ICC profiles can be embedded in most image files (for example, in JPEG, TIFF, PSD, etc.). An ICC profile allows you to be sure that an application will correctly color match the file.
The Importance of Embedding the Color Profile It enables different apps and devices to interpret the color as you intended. If you get into the habit of embedding profiles into your images as you save them, youll reduce the chances of color looking wrong on the web or in print.
When designing for a printed format, the best color profile to use is CMYK, which uses the base colors of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (or Black).
If print work is your primary objective, you should use docHub RGBalthough you will have to convert your photos later if you want to use them on the web. Conversely, if you plan to use your images primarily on the web, or if you just prefer to simplify your workflow, sRGB is a fine option.
Embedding a color profile attaches the color profile to the document to ensure that the same colors you used are shared with anyone who views or prints the document. In this way, you help ensure color consistency when files are viewed, modified, or reproduced.
