[Music] hello everyone how are you doing this is mdtech here another quick tutorial today Im going to show you guys how to resolve an issue where if youre getting an issue when youre trying to open up a folder on your computer and it might say that you dont have permission to save in this location this tutorial will hopefully address that prom pretty quickly so were going to start by opening up file explorer so if you have an icon on your taskbar that looks like a little file or if you want to go and search on the Start menu whichever one you prefer we want to open up file explorer though nonetheless now we want to go on the left side to this PC and you want to left-click on it once now we want to go underneath our local disk or whichever location our folder is having issues saving into so were going to just go underneath our local disk here and now most people would be underneath the users folder so you want to double click on that again and now you should have different accoun

Save the workbook. Select File Info. Select Protect Workbook, point to Restrict Permission by People, and then select Restricted Access. In the Permissions dialog box, select Restrict permission to this workbook, and then assign the access levels that you want for each user.
In Excel 365 app, under Protect Document, there is an option to Restrict Access and there you can give permission to specific people (via email addresses) the permission to just read(not edit, print, or copy) content. Click More Option for additional restrict permission e.g. user does not print content.
If you want to view the permissions you have, either click View Permission in the Message Bar or click one of the following in the status bar at the bottom of the screen: This document contains a permissions policy. This workbook contains a permissions policy.
Another way to remove restricted access on Excel is by selecting the Change Permission option on the yellow bar at the top of the workbook. Note that you can only restrict access to an Excel file if youre the one who created it.
Click the Apple menuChoose System Preferences Security and Privacy PrivacyClick the lock in the lower left corner and enter your system passwordIn the left panel choose Full Disk Access and in the Right panel choose Microsoft Excel.
Go to File Info Protect Document Restrict Access Restricted Access. The Permission window will open. Make sure the Restrict Permission to this document box is selected. Enter the email addresses of individuals who can Read or Change the document. Click ok.
Share your Excel workbook with others Select Share. Select permissions and then Apply. Add people. Type a message if you like. Select Send.
