hello in this video we are going to show you how you can zip your files and put a password on zip in your mac os first you need to open your command prompt or terminal then go to the folder where your target file is located we use the cd command to move the terminal to the folder cd and path of the file the location must be of the target files parent folder so we remove the file name from the path then we write the command zip minus er in double quotes we write the name of the zip file that will be created and in the second argument we pass the name of the target file it will ask for the password that will be put on the zip file you need to enter the password twice for confirmation you can see a new zip file has been created i am going to remove the original file and extract the zip file it asks for password if i enter wrong password it will not extract the files but when i enter correct password it extract the files you can zip any type of file with this image video pdf spreadsheets
