How to capture a portion of the screen Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command and 4. Drag the crosshair. to select the area of the screen to capture. To take the screenshot, release your mouse or trackpad button. If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click it to edit the screenshot.
Open any file or create a new file. On the File menu, click Save As. Click Options, and then on the Save [Program] files as pop-up menu, click the file format that you want.
Try it! Select File Save As. Select a place to save the file, or select Browse and go to the location where you want to save the file. Enter a name for the document. Select Save as type and choose the file format you want to use. select Save.
Select File in the upper toolbar, and then move your cursor down until it hovers over Save. Click Save or press Cmd + S to save the file as a . txt.
To change these settings, go to Apple menu System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Storage on the right.
You can save a document at any time. Save a document: In a document, choose File Save, enter a name, choose where to save the document (to show more locations, click the down arrow button ), then click Save.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file, then choose File Export. Click the Format pop-up menu, then choose a file type. If you dont see the file type you want, press and hold the Option key and click the Format pop-up menu to see specialized or older formats.
You can also Control-click the file, then choose Get Info. In the Info window, click the arrow next to Open with. Click the pop-up menu, choose an app, then click Change All. Note: Dont click Change All if you only want the specific file you selected to open with that app.
