hi in this video were gonna talk about the default save options in Microsoft Office now with Microsoft Office I mean in a Word Excel PowerPoint publisher that kind of thing its all part of Microsoft Office so this process should be pretty much the same on all newer versions of office so in this case R on office 2016 with Excel 2016 open with just a blank book one workbook open so what you want to do is go to the file tab and go to options and like I said from maybe Excel 2017 you have to go to the little orb up there and go to your option so its but its still pretty much the same then you want to go to the save section and were just gonna talk about a few of these options here so this one is the save files in this format so by default its gonna save them in the newer xlsx file format but lets say you wanted to save them in older XLS format by default you could pick that option and then theres auto recover save information so every 10 minutes itll do a like a background save in
