Create a simple formula in Excel On the worksheet, click the cell in which you want to enter the formula. Type the = (equal sign) followed by the constants and operators (up to 8192 characters) that you want to use in the calculation. For our example, type =1+1. Copy the formula: Select the cell containing the formula you want to copy and press Ctrl+C or click the Copy button on the Home tab. Select the destination cells: Click on the cells where you want to paste the formula. These can be in the same worksheet or a different one.
When Excel formulas are not updating automatically, most likely its because the Calculation setting has been changed to Manual instead of Automatic. To fix this, just set the Calculation option to Automatic again.
After you have created the functions you need, click File Save As.
