Create a drop-down list In a new worksheet, type the entries you want to appear in your drop-down list. Select the cell in the worksheet where you want the drop-down list. Go to the Data tab on the Ribbon, and then Data Validation. On the Settings tab, in the Allow box, select List.
After creating a heading, Docs will automatically insert a dropdown arrow next to it when hovering. In Docs, choose your format Heading 1, Heading 2, or Heading 3. Add content below it with the Normal text formatting. Once finished, hover over your heading and click the dropdown arrow.
Select the range of cells containing the drop-down list you want to duplicate and copy with your mouse or the keyboard shortcut. Right-click your mouse on the cell where you want to place the copied drop-down list. Select Paste special and click on Data validation only.
Use collapsible headings in your Google Doc On your computer, open a Google Doc thats in pageless mode. Hover over the heading you want to expand or collapse. To the left of the heading, click Expand heading or Collapse heading .
If presets and predefined dropdowns dont suit your need, you can quickly create your own if you can access a desktop browser. Open the Insert menu at the top of Google Docs. Select New dropdown from the list. Enter a Template name to clarify the use of this menu. Fill in two or more options for quick selection later.
For anyone who stumbles across this problem, you can right click on the dropdown, and Inspect Element. Right click on the selector and choose copy inner html. Open up Microsoft Word and paste your contents in. Select All and Go to Table - Convert - Convert Text-to-table (or Insert - Table -Convert Text-to-table).
Start by choosing one of the form templates. 2 - Add questions on your form: Click on the menu next to the question types pane to see list of options such as multiple choice, checkboxes, and dropdown. 3 - Select the dropdown: After selecting, to add options for your dropdown list, use the Add option box.
