This lesson discusses cloud services and how they relate to storage. Cloud services are services provided on demand via the Internet from a cloud computing provider's servers. There are four types of cloud services: software, data, platform, and storage. The focus of this lesson is on storage, as students will be using cloud storage throughout the class. The acronym CLOUD is used to break down key concepts: Computer, Login, Offsite, Uploaded, and Data. Cloud-based services are preferred over flash drives to avoid losing important data.
