On a Mac, you can manually insert a permanent timestamp in a cell with these keyboard shortcuts: Insert date: ⌘ + ; Insert time: ⌘ + Shift + ; Insert date and time: ⌘ + Option + Shift + ;
The clock is always shown in the menu bar. Click Clock Options, then choose how you want the date and time displayed. Below Date, click the Show date pop-up menu, then choose either Always, When Space Allows, or Never.
Save and name a new document Click anywhere in the document window to make it active, then choose File Save (from the File menu at the top of your screen). Enter a name in the Save As field, then enter one or more tags (optional). Click the Where pop-up menu and choose a location. Click Save.
Click on the page where you want to add the date and time. To place it in the header or footer, move the pointer over the top or bottom of the page until you see the header or footer area, then click any of the three text fields (you can use any combination of the fields for your header or footer).
On the File menu, click Save As. In the Save As box, type a name for the file. On the Format pop-up menu, make sure Word Document (. docx), PowerPoint Presentation (.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Date Time on the right. (You may need to scroll down.) Turn on Set time and date automatically, click Set, then enter a network time server for your region.
In the Format sidebar, click the Cell tab, then click the Data Format pop-up menu and choose Date Time. Click the Date pop-up menu, then choose a format. If you choose None, no date is displayed in the cell, even if a date is entered and used in date and time calculations. Choose a format from the Time pop-up menu.
