hi in todays video I will be showing you a quick and easy tutorial on how to save a Word document as a PDF file whether you want to share your word document with someone who doesnt have word or to ensure the formatting remains intact converting to PDF is the way to go so lets start the video the first step is to open Microsoft Word document so this is our Word document you can see it contains some text and image as well to save your word document as a PDF file click on file and then click on save as now click on browse a dialog box will appear allowing you to choose where you want to save the PDF file on your computer its on desktop enter the name for the PDF file its a Word document now in save as type drop down menu click on it select PDF as the file format this will ensure that your word document gets converted to a PDF file now click on Save you have successfully saved your word document as a PDF file so if we go to desktop you can see this is our new PDF file so click to open

Once at the location of your choice right-click on the file and select Save As - this will open a dialog box allowing you to choose where on your device you are saving it. Select a destination and click OK to start downloading.
In Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for versions 2010 and later, theres no need to enable a Save as PDF option. The functionality is built-in. You can simply use the Save As menu and select PDF from the Save as type dropdown to convert your documents to the PDF format.
Pressing Ctrl + S ( ⌘ Cmd + S on Mac) will save your file in most programs. Many programs have shortcuts for the Save as function as well. These shortcuts will vary from program to program. For example, F12 will open the Save as dialog in Word, while ⇧ Shift + Ctrl + S will open it in Photoshop.
