To add 3D text in Blender, hover in the 3D Viewport and press Shift + A to add an object. Choose the object type Text. Alternatively, we can choose Add from the top menu and choose the object type Text. The default text object will be brought into the Blender scene and will display the word Text.
First you need to select an object you want to paint on. Then we can go directly into the Texture Paint workspace in Blender. There go to the properties panel Active Tool and Workspace settings (on top) and scroll down. You will see a section called Layers.
Creating text in Blender is a cinch. Its as simple as pressing Shift + A, then selecting Text from the menu. This will create a new text object in the scene.

You could open an image with text on it and use it as a stencil texture to paint it onto your mesh. The brush can be changed in the Tool Settings. Soft and hard eraser brushes are settings variations of the same Erase Brush. you can create many brushes, each with unique settings to obtain different effects while erasing. The Erase Brush has also other two special eraser types: point and stroke.
Usage Select an erase brush of type Soft/Hard. Adjust brush settings. Click and hold LMB or use the Pen tip to delete strokes on the viewport.
