Use the Undo option There is another method you can use when removing an Excel table immediately after creating it. Right after designing a table, you can click the Undo option on the toolbar to convert your data back into its original form as a range.
Heres how: Click Open in Excel. Select the cells containing the data you want to format. Click the Format Cells box launcher. Tip: You can also press Ctrl+5. In the Format Cells box, under Effects, click Strikethrough. Save the workbook and reopen it in Excel for the web to see the changes.
Select any cell within the table, or range of cells you want to format as a table. On the Home tab, click Format as Table. Click the table style that you want to use.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + Z to undo your last action. So if you just created an Excel table, press CTRL + Z immediately afterward to remove the table formatting and convert it back into a normal range of data.
Tables can be reversed and converted back to range. Tables can be converted to ranges by selecting a cell in the table range and clicking on the Convert to Range command. The command to convert to range is found in the Table Design tab, in the Tools group.
Select any cell in the table from which you want to remove the current table style. On the Home tab, click Format as Table, or expand the Table Styles gallery from the Table Tools Design tab (the Table tab on a Mac). Click Clear. The table will be displayed in the default table format.
To edit a table in Excel, simply follow these steps: Open your Excel spreadsheet. Select the table you want to edit. Click the Design tab in the Table Tools panel. Make changes to the tables style, such as font size and color, border thickness and color, table alignment, and other options.
To remove a table but keep data and formatting, go to the Design tab Tools group, and click Convert to Range. Or, right-click anywhere within the table, and select Table Convert to Range.
