Remove the last of any unabsorbed stain with a dry cloth, wiping in the direction of the wood grain. Swirl marks left by a stain-saturated cloth will become even more obvious under a coat of clear finish.
Pre-treat with a stain remover, then let it soak in. Launder ing to the fabric care instructions. Regular stains should come out in cold water but for extra dirty clothing or very tough stains, use the warmest setting safe for the fabric. If the stain remains, repeat the steps above.
Mix one teaspoon of liquid hand dish washing detergent in two cups of cold water. Dip a white cloth or the brush in this solution and work from the outside edge of the stain toward the center to prevent spreading. Blot or lightly scrub the stain and blot with a dry paper towel to absorb the moisture.
For consistent color, use careful timing. Never allow any stain to dry on the wood surfaceit will prevent the clear finish from adhering and cause other issues. Remove the last of any unabsorbed stain with a dry cloth, wiping in the direction of the wood grain.
Wipe with a soft cloth, first across the grain, then with the grain. For a darker color, re-stain when first coat is dry. For a lighter color, wipe with a cloth dampened with paint thinner before the stain has dried.
Place a paper towel on the stain. From the back side of the fabric, apply rubbing alcohol or hair spray to the stain by dripping it onto the paper towel carefully. Next, use the paper towel to soak up the stain and the liquid. Repeat until the stain is gone.
