The backspace key is sometimes referred to as the rubout key, which is a reference to a rubout key found on the early termination and computer keyboards. It is located in the top-right portion of the keyboard. It is also used to erase anything typed on the left of the cursor.
TrackPoint is a pointing stick, commonly found on ThinkPad laptops, that allows you to control the cursor on your screen. It is a small, red joystick-like nub located between the G, H, and B keys on the keyboard. You can use it to move the cursor smoothly and accurately without lifting your hands off the keyboard.
The correct answer is the Backspace button. The Backspace key or Backspace key is a keyboard key that deletes any character before the cursors current position or the left. Keep the insertion point just after the character you want to delete and press the Backspace key.
Rubout was a destructive backspace (your backward delete): it deletes the character you just typed, or behind the cursor. Backspace was non-destructive, it moves the cursor backward.
Generally, the release key built-in action is used in conjunction with the hold key built-in action to release keys that were previously held down spanning multiple steps.
