It works on dirt, stains and even scuff marks. First, wipe down your shoe with a damp cloth to remove any excess dirt or debris. Then, use a soft brush or cloth to apply the toothpaste to any dirty areas. Gently scrub the toothpaste on dirty areas, then wipe the whole shoe clean when done.
A paste of baking soda and water (mix the parts until theyre the consistency of toothpaste) is mildly abrasive, so it gently buffs away surface scuffs when you rub it on the wall in circular motions with a cloth. When youve successfully banished the scuff, wipe away the leftover bits with a clean, damp cloth.
TOP TIPS: Use a solvent-based wax or solvent to remove scuff marks; Never underestimate what a soft CLOTH can do; Use a pencil eraser for plastic or vinyl flooring.
Use a soft brush or suede brush to gently buff away scuffs on suede shoes, and for patent leather, try using a small amount of mild soap or specialized cleaner on a soft cloth to gently wipe away marks. Avoid harsh scrubbing to prevent damage to the delicate material.
Use Baking Soda and Vinegar Mix one tablespoon of baking soda, two tablespoons of distilled white vinegar, and one cup of water in a small bowl. Dip a soft-bristled toothbrush or cloth in the solution. Gently scrub the stained areas. Rinse by wiping away any residue with a damp microfiber cloth.
Remove scuff marks with a Magic Eraser and water. If the shoe is stained, add a squirt of dish soap to the water and rub the mark, stain, or dirt again to remove it. You can pick up a Magic Eraser at any big box or cleaning supply store. Theyre often marketed as a way to remove marks from drywall.
Scuffs on floors and walls are often easier to remove when theyre fresh. Rather than docHubing for harsh chemicals first, try plain water. Start with a damp, soft cloth or sponge, and gently wipe the mark so keep the surface safe.
