You can scale text by stretching it or by compressing it. Select the text that you want to stretch or compress. On the Home tab, click the Font dialog box launcher. (circled in green in the screenshot below), and then click the Advanced tab. In the Scale box, enter the percentage that you want.
Reset the paragraph settings On the Home tab or on the Page Layout tab, click the Paragraph Dialog Box Launcher in the Paragraph group. On the Indents and Spacing tab, change the Indent settings to the indentation settings that you want for the document. Click Tab on the Indents and Spacing tab.
Click Design, then Paragraph Spacing. Pick which spacing you want (the default is Open), and notice your whole document will preview as you mouse over the different settings. If you dont like those options, click Custom Paragraph Spacing and change the numbers under Paragraph Spacing.
Open the Rich text box Properties and click Edit content on the Source tab. Rich Text Box Editor opens. Select your text, then click the Line Spacing icon. Select the value 1.5.
Once the button is available, just click it to shrink the text. Click Edit Document Edit in Word for the web if you havent done so already. Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in your document. Click Home Shrink Font one or more times. Click View Reading View to see if you shrank the text enough.
Change the line spacing in Word Select the paragraphs you want to change. Select Home Line and Paragraph Spacing, and choose the spacing you want. To customize spacing, select Line Spacing Options. You can adjust several areas including spacing before and after paragraphs.
Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in your document. Click Home Shrink Font one or more times. As you click Shrink Font, Word decreases the size of every font in your document. Click View Reading View to see if you shrank the text enough.
