Reset a Keyboard on a Mac Computer Hit the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of your computer. Select System Preferences. Click Keyboard Hit the Modifier Keys button. Select Restore Defaults and then hit OK.
Press NumLock or press FN + NumLock keys to make sure that it is disabled. Try typing again to see if your keys are fixed. If this doesnt fix your problem, you may have the wrong language selected. Switch between your installed keyboards.
