hi this is ari Shapiro Iamp;#39;m gonna show you our new Auto rigging and reshaping tool this is a project from Andrew Fang out of the USC Institute for Creative Technology from the character animation simulation group and what this tool does is it automatically rigs and skins a 3d scan that you can obtain from Microsoft Kinect or occipital structure sensor or a scanning cage or wherever you generate your 3d model and what weamp;#39;re doing is weamp;#39;re finding a correspondence between a scan and a set of models that we use that we already rigged and skinned and once we find that car span itamp;#39;s our respondents you can see it happening right there we then transferred that skinning information onto the mesh so now you can see the bone placement the skinning information is colored and we can start to animate the character to see how good the quality of our rigging is the rig that weamp;#39;re using is a rig that we use internally with our smart body system if you wanted to
