Remove highlighting from part or all of a document Select the text that you want to remove highlighting from or press Ctrl+A to select all of the text. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
Highlighting Found Text Press Ctrl+H. Click the More button, if it is available. In the Find What box, enter the text you want to find and highlight. In the Replace With box, enter ^. With the insertion point still in the Replace With box, click the Format button. Click the Highlight option.
