This is going to be a demo of how to do a charcoal rub out using soft fine charcoal. The first step is to coat your paper using the side of your charcoal. You want a light gray fog. Donamp;#39;t rub it in and make it even and smooth. Leave it rough. Do a light drawing using your vine charcoal. So, youamp;#39;re not using a pencil with this at all. Youamp;#39;re just using the vine charcoal. So, Iamp;#39;ve done a block-in of the object. Notice I havenamp;#39;t put a lot of detail on here. I donamp;#39;t want to commit a lot of effort to a line drawing. Iamp;#39;m going to take my finger and smear out some of the light areas. Iamp;#39;m using a light touch. Iamp;#39;m wiping off my hand. If my hand gets filled up with charcoal, I canamp;#39;t pull much more off. Itamp;#39;ll just stick on my hand, stick on the paper and not come off on my hand. Iamp;#39;m saving my eraser this way. Also--Iamp;#39;m also doing just simple, stupid things to get it started. After, that Iamp;#
