hello friends welcome to this video in this video iamp;#39;m going to show you basics of having an header in microsoft word if you want to put a chapter number or section or page number or some text in your microsoft word header then microsoft word provides a very easy way to insert it so to insert anything on a header first of all you have to go to header there are two ways to go too ahead the first way and the easiest way is you can double click anywhere on the header at the top of your word document and you get inside the header the second way is to go to the insert tab then click on the header and then select the appropriate styles or if you want to start with a blank header click on just edit header once you are in header you can type anything that you want inside your header for example page number or some text to insert a page number you have to click on the page number and then select the appropriate position and the format of a page number or let us say if you want to type so

Understanding Headers in Microsoft Word Adding or removing headers in Microsoft Word is easy. To delete a header, go to the Insert tab. Then, press the Header button and select Remove Header from the drop-down menu. This will get rid of the header from your document.
Remove the page number from the first page Go to Insert Header Footer. Select Options on the right side, and then select Different First Page. Select Options again, and then select Remove Page Numbers.
Go to the ribbon at the top of the window, locate Insert and click on it. Under Insert, locate the Header Footer pane. If you want to remove a header from your document, click on the down arrow next to Header. When the drop-down menu appears, click on Remove Header.
