By default, LaTeX uses Modern, a serif font. Instead of this, use the sans-serif variant. To make this change, add this command to the preamble: \renewcommand{\familydefault}{\sfdefault}
To erase parts of the text, you need to convert the text to an outline, for which the eraser tool will work. However, this is a one-way street: Once you have convert the text to an outline, it is no longer editable as text. If you need to edit the text, be sure to do it before converting it for erasure.

Bold, italics and underlining Bold: bold text in LaTeX is typeset using the \textbf{} command. Italics: italicised text is produced using the \textit{} command. Underline: to underline text use the \underline{} command.
In Control Panel, type Fonts in the search box at the top right. Under Fonts, click Preview, delete, or show and hide fonts. Select the font that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
Changing font size in LaTeX If the accommodation specifies a font larger than 12pt, use the standard type size commands to increase the size of the font. These commands are case sensitive, so \large, \Large, and \LARGE all result in different font sizes.
