hi everyone Ivan from where bhashya recently I built a Drupal 8 module which implemented a Content entity and I built a bit of functionality which would programmatically attach a custom field to every bundle so when a user created a new bundle a field would be programmatically attached but i noticed this funny issue where if i was to delete all of my bundles and the field was no longer used in any of the bundles the field would just get deleted and then and then if i was to create another bundle i would get a fatal error because i had a bit of code in there which was trying to attach a field that no longer existed so after spending about an hour debugging I discovered that there was a little option in the field storage which lets you set our the field so that itamp;#39;s persistent and let me get the exact name it is called persist with no fields and by default this is set to false but if you set it to true this will stop Drupal from deleting the field if itamp;#39;s no longer used a
