Update a field In a document you have open, right-click a field, such as a table of contents, a page number, or a cross-reference, and click Update Field. Notes: If youre updating a table of contents, in the Update Table of Contents dialog box, select whether you want to update page numbers only or the entire table.
To change from the field code to the merge field, or vice versa, in a Microsoft Word document: Press ALT + F9 to toggle Field Codes on/off.
Select the text that you want to format. Go to Home Strikethrough.
Highlight the text you want to edit. Press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac. Click the Strikethrough option under Effects in the middle of the window. Press OK.
Go to the Home tab and in the font section, click on the small arrow in the bottom right-hand corner. 4. Check the Strikethrough box. Click on OK.
To remove the field codes, press CTRL-A to select all of the text in your document. Then press CTRL-SHIFT-F9 to remove the field codes.
The ability to collapse and expand content in your document is based on its outline level. You can quickly add an outline level and make part of your document collapsible by adding a heading using Words built-in styles.
Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. This text is now redlined.
