There are many ways to separate date from time and time from date. INT(A1) can be used to find the date as it rounds down the serial value to the nearest whole number. A1-INT(A1) would extract the decimal value from the serial number thus giving time. DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1), DAY(A1)) would extract date.
Heres how: Lets assume that the original date is in cell A3. In another cell (lets say B3), enter one of these formulas: To return the full name of the day such as Monday or Tuesday, the formula is: =TEXT(A3, dddd) Press Enter, and cell B3 will display the day name corresponding to the date in cell A3.
Remove the time altogether by clicking on the Home tab, navigating to the Number drop-down menu and selecting Long Date or Short Date.

To apply a custom date or time format to your spreadsheet: On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Highlight the data you want to format. Click Format. Number. Click Custom date and time. Search in the menu text box to select a format. Click Apply.
Use the Fill Handle Select the cell that contains the first date. Drag the fill handle across the adjacent cells that you want to fill with sequential dates. Select the fill handle at the lower-right corner of the cell, hold down, and drag to fill the rest of the series.
