To create a table of contents in LaTeX, you can use the \tableofcontents command. This command generates a table of contents based on the sections and subsections in your document. You can customize the appearance of the table of contents using various packages and commands available in LaTeX.
A table of contents is produced with the \tableofcontents command. You put the command right where you want the table of contents to go; LaTeX does the rest for you. Entries are taken from the Sectioning commands. \tableofcontents produces a heading, but it does not automatically start a new page.
Basic LaTeX provides ways to automatically generate a table of contents (ToC, \tableofcontents ) and list of tables/figures (LoT, \listoftables /LoF, \listoffigures ) based on the titles or captions.
