Caption. It is usually beneficial to include caption to your images. To do so, simply use the command \caption{text} either below or above your figure (usually below for images and above for tables).
If you want this setting, i.e., a space instead of a colon, to apply to figure environments as well, youd just remove the [table] option from the \captionsetup command.
Its really easy, just add the \caption{Some caption} and inside the braces write the text to be shown. The placement of the caption depends on where you place the command; if its above the \includegraphics then the caption will be on top of it, if its below then the caption will also be set below the figure.
All you need to do is use the \caption{text} command within the float environment. LaTeX will automatically keep track of the numbering of figures, so you do not need to include this within the caption text.
You could use the \captionsetup command to define a margin for the shifting. You can call it before each sub float command to adjust as needed. Thanks for your help. Now Im using a given LaTeX template to write my thesis.
It is always good practise to add a caption to any figure or table. Fortunately, this is very simple in LaTeX. All you need to do is use the \caption{text} command within the float environment.
If you want the table caption above the tabular you should move \caption above the tabular . And please note: The \label should always be behind the \caption , because usually the \caption increases the table counter and set it as new reference.
