you donamp;#39;t need to unzip files to cat inside them so if i want to look inside this vcf file here i would have to unzip it and then look inside with cat and then zip it again to do whatever i need to do with it or i could do zcat and the file enter less and i can look inside it this also works with grep so i can do z grep iamp;#39;ll do dash v and the file into ls and again that works just fine as well quick look at what happens if we just do cat the file into less and we get this nonsense
