When you change an items general access to Restricted, only people with access can open the file. Find the file or folder in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides. Open or select the file or folder. Click Share or Share. Under General access, click the Down arrow . Select Restricted. Click Done.
Obtaining Access and Refresh Navigate to OAuth 2.0 Playground and click the OAuth 2.0 Configuration button in the top right corner of your screen. Select Use your own OAuth credentials, and provide the obtained Client ID and Client Secret values. Click on Close.
Sheets: Share with specific people or using a link Open the file that you want to share (that you own or have edit access to). Click Share. Enter the email addresses or groups with which you want to share. Choose what kind of access you want to give people: Can edit, Can comment or Can view. Click Send.
Protect, hide, and edit sheets Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Click Data. Protect sheets and ranges. Click Add a sheet or range or click an existing protection to edit it. To protect a range, click Range. Click Set permissions or Change permissions. Choose how you want to limit editing:
Authorize credentials for a desktop application In the Google Cloud console, go to Menu menu APIs Services Credentials. Click Create Credentials OAuth client ID. Click Application type Desktop app. In the Name field, type a name for the credential. Click Create. Click OK.
You can give a Super Admin role to a user following these steps: Go to Menu Directory Users. In the users list, click the users name to open their account page. Click Admin roles and privileges. Click the Super Admin role. Next to the Super Admin role, move the slider to Assigned. Click Save.
Sheets: Protected sheets and ranges Open the sheet and click Data Protected sheets and ranges. Click +Add a sheet or range. Click Range to protect a range of content or Sheet to protect a whole sheet. Click Set permissions and choose whether to show a warning or restrict who can edit the content. Click Done.
You can also make your spreadsheet editable by anyone who has the link. Click on Restricted to display the options and choose Anyone with the link. By default, Google creates a link with permission to view. Click on the Viewer drop-down option.
