Recover an earlier version of a Word file Open the file you were working on. Select File Info. Under Manage Documents, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions.
Update Microsoft 365 apps and Office using AutoUpdate Open an Office app such as Word, then on the top menu, click Help Check for Updates. If you dont see Check for Updates, run the latest version of Microsoft AutoUpdate tool, then check for updates again.
You can undo recent changes you make to a document, then redo them if you change your mind. Open the file you want to view. If youre using Microsoft 365 for Mac, select the name of the document on the title bar of the application, then select Browse Version History. If youre using an older version of Office for Mac, select File Browse Version History. Select a version to open it in a separate window.
