here I have a candle holder made of pewter unfortunately one of the arms is is broken as you can see I want to solder these together the problem is I do not have proper tool to do this this job what I would love to have is a is a torch with a very narrow flame such that I can only heat the interface of these two and then add solder into that but I do not have such a torch my torch has larger flames so if I use it I can melt all the areas surrounding it so that is not the optimum my plan is to create two small hole one here and one into that and add a pin into this so then at least there is a support by that pin and then I use a normal soldering iron to add the solder on the interface and hopefully I managed to create a good bond between the two pieces okay so here is my dream ale the drill bit is one millimeter and so first Iamp;#39;m going to create a hole into this part and then I will create a hole into the main candle holder the rotation speed of the dream L you want to set it at

o Solders and flux were defined to be lead-free when they contained less than 0.2 percent lead. Before this ban took effect on June 19, 1986, solders used to join water pipes typically contained about 50 percent lead.
Lack of lead (Pb) decreases the flowability of solder, resulting in poor solderability. This is problematic not only for targeting P.W.B. or components, but also for the tips of soldering irons.
Apply a small amount of solder to the cleaned tip while ensuring it is evenly distributed. Allow the solder to melt and coat the entire surface of the tip. Wipe off an excess solder using damp sponge or cleaning pad. Repeat the re-tinning process regularly when soldering to maintain tip performance.
In conclusion, if your soldering iron tip wont tin, it is likely due to oxidation, the wrong type of solder, or the temperature being too low. To fix the issue, you can try cleaning the tip, using the right type of solder, and adjusting the temperature of the soldering iron.
In 1986 Congress Amended the Safe Drinking Water Act, prohibiting the use of pipes, solder or flux that were not lead free in public water systems or plumbing in facilities providing water for human consumption.
Answer: Section 1417(a)(3) of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) prohibits the sale of solder and flux that is not lead-free unless the solder or flux bears a prominent label stating that it is illegal to use the solder or flux in the installation or repair of any plumbing providing water for human consumption.
Ideally, wherever possible, you should switch from a lead solder to a lead-free (and rosin-free) solder (or look at a different joining solution). Rosin (colophony and resin) can often be contained in solder flux. The fumes generated from using rosin can cause eye, throat and lung irritation, headaches and nosebleeds.
But, when it comes to safety, the risks of leaded solder are great and it should only be used when permitted by regulatory agencies. It must also be disposed of properly. Lead is harmful to the environment and is toxic to the body with the additional hazard of being so quickly absorbed into the bloodstream.
