all right so what are you guys doing there scotty uh putting in some flash in here before the uh first log goes down still this is a sill plate sil s-i-l-l this is uh the first the you know the first solid foundation that the logs are going to sit on you can kind of see right there flash angle tuck back tucks back behind the log so what if any water runs off of it can run off and not behind the log in this case there wasnamp;#39;t uh any still seal foam material um we use a lot of backer rod thatamp;#39;s made out of the same stuff itamp;#39;s a closed cell foam that doesnamp;#39;t absorb water when you set this first row down on the weight is essentially going to smash that down and create a solid water type seal without the use of a chemical caulking basically once this is done thereamp;#39;s also a plate or some sort of a trim board or something thatamp;#39;s going to go on the outside itamp;#39;s going to be a second layer of protection yeah well i guess i should say a third
