In order to detect the text content of input is changed or not, We are using the . on() method of JQuery. This is a built-in method provided by jQuery and is used to attach event handlers for the selected elements and their child elements.
Set the TextBox controls ReadOnly property to true . With the property set to true , users can still scroll and highlight text in a text box without allowing changes. A Copy command is functional in a text box, but Cut and Paste commands are not. The ReadOnly property only affects user interaction at run time.
jQuery change() Method The change event occurs when the value of an element has been changed (only works on , and elements). The change() method triggers the change event, or attaches a function to run when a change event occurs.
What you must do is to: Loop through each character of the textbox one after the other. Each time, you take one character, process it (replace it in your case), then you write it in a separate string, a bit like this (pseudo-code): newstring = for char in textbox.
Use the ReadOnly property to specify whether the contents of the TextBox control can be changed. Setting this property to true will prevent users from entering a value or changing the existing value. Note that the user of the TextBox control cannot change this property; only the developer can.
Using the val() method The value of an input element, such as a text box, can be obtained using this technique. To get the value of a text box using jQuerys val() method, you can follow these steps: Select the text box element using jQuery selectors. Call the val() method on the selected element to retrieve its value.
The values of the dynamic TextBoxes will be fetched using its name attribute. The Remove Button is assigned a class attribute. Using the class attribute value as jQuery Selector, a click event handler is assigned to the Remove Button.
