hi my name is david and today iamp;#39;m going to be restoring a sculpture of michelangeloamp;#39;s 15th century renaissance sculpture of pieta so this item was brought in it was a walk-in somebody brought this in off the street into my studio and was hoping that we could help them out with this particular project now of course the original michelangelo p8 that was carved in 1499 out of marble this is obviously a smaller facsimile out of plaster and ceramic the challenging issues with this particular one are that it was brought in and maryamp;#39;s missing her entire left arm from about the elbow down and then jesus is missing his left leg which includes his knee down to basically middle of his shin here so weamp;#39;re gonna have to some support wire to support the weight of the pieces weamp;#39;re going to add to do this and also jesus is missing a small piece of his forearm here but this one shouldnamp;#39;t be too bad and so much is that the majority of his armamp;#39;s ther
