How to rework subject in raw

Years ago when I first got into digital raw photography, my photo editing process was.. well, pretty much non-existent. I would open a raw image in Lightroom, I would scroll through the Develop panel, and I would move sliders left and right without really understanding what I should be doing and in what order in order to create a photograph out of the gray, dull, RAW image that I saw in front of me. After plenty of failed attempts, I realized that my process or lack thereof needed structure. A series of steps, each with its own clearly defined goal, so that anytime I would sit down to edit a photo, I would know where to start, where I was going next, and where I would ultimately finish. So today Iamp;#39;m going to share with you my own 10 step RAW photo processing framework. It sounds rather official butitamp;#39;s really not. These are simply the steps which work best for me and the way that I approach photo processing. By the way the focus of this video will be on the frame

One of the largest benefits of RAW is the ability to recover shadows and highlights in post-processing without bringing in the grainy noise usually associated with high ISO settings. RAWs are very forgiving if you have severely underexposed or overexposed areas.
Since RAWs are read-only and cant be edited directly, the edits must be saved to a mediator file which is . PHOTO, in the case of Pixelmator Photo (other editors may also use sidecar files such as XMP, for instance).
RAW editing is non-destructive. This means you dont change anything in the RAW file and all the adjustments are saved in the RAW editing software rather than the file itself. This way, you can always go back to the start or make different edits to the same image.
If you have a RAW photo to edit that happens to be a portrait, you can focus on enhancing skin tones, adjusting exposure, fine-tuning color balance and improving overall clarity and sharpness. You may also consider applying selective adjustments to specific areas, such as softening blemishes or brightening the eyes.
Post-processing Higher image quality translates into more available data when it comes to photo editing, giving RAWs a definitive edge over JPEGs.
You may not know, but your iPhone can shoot raw images like a traditional DSLR camera. First introduced with the iPhone 6S in 2015, capturing RAW photos allows you to edit your images in post-production further, considerably increasing the potential of your iPhone photographs!
With RAW files, you have the power to make any kind of adjustment, such as converting a black and white RAW file to color and modifying brightness, contrast, and gamma correction, all without changing the RAW image itself. Converting potential. Try merging RAW files to form HDR or panoramic images you can then edit.
