so over to the left hand side you may see a little icon for outline where you can open this up or you can go to view and you can check show document outline youamp;#39;ll also see this option for summaries so this is brand new if you click this plus sign you can add a summary to your document and this will give anyone that you share the document with a preview of what the document is about so you can write your own summary but hereamp;#39;s also whatamp;#39;s new and sort of working is the ability to use a i to actually create a summary for you and so you can see it says hit tab to accept and that way you can use that summary right there inside your document

Make a title or heading On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Select the text you want to change. Click Format. Paragraph styles. Click a text style: Normal text. Title. Subtitle. Heading 1-6. Click Apply text style.
Open a document in Google Docs. Click View. Show outline. The outline opens on the left. Click the heading you want to go to in the document. Youll move to that place in the document.
To use and see headers and footers, make sure your document is in pages format. Open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . In the top right, tap More . Turn on Print Layout. Tap the header or footer. Type the text you want in your header or footer.
Click the drop down menu under the Subjects column to chose what subject you want to write an assignment down.
Restore an earlier version On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Choose an option: At the top, click File Version history See version history. At the top right, click Last edit . In the right panel, choose an earlier version. At the top, click Restore this version Restore.
You can use a standard option in Google Docs to apply the new format to all similar styles, e.g. to all headings: Right-click the text with the style you want to alter in the document, e.g. Heading 1. Pick Format options Select all matching text. This way you automatically select all occurrences of Heading 1.
Use a custom text style On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Add some text and style it the way you want using the options found in the top toolbar. Select that text. Click Format. Select Paragraph styles. Choose either Normal text or Heading 1-6. Select Update to match.
On your computer, open a document at Google Docs. Select the text you want to change. A button appears on the right margin. Click Suggest edits . If you dont find Suggesting. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing. . From the drop-down, select Suggesting. . Click Request edit access.
