Video: Change document properties Select File Info. Select a property that starts with Add, like Add a title, Add a tag, or Add an author. Enter the information. To see more properties, select Show all properties. When youre done, select the Back arrow and Save. your changes.
To make changes to a document, in the upper-right corner, select Edit Document Edit. If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can go to File Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document. Or you can ask the document owner to enable editing.
Change your documents layout to get it just the way you want. Select Layout Margins. Choose the margins you want or select Custom Margins to define your own.
On a PC, right-click a file, select Properties, and edit the General, Security and Details tabs. To edit the properties of multiple files, hold Ctrl as you click each file, right-click the selection, and click Properties. On a Mac, select a file and go to File Get Info to edit properties.
You can use DOCX to generate and edit text for a very wide range of purposes - from newsletters and articles, to creating flyers, invitations and other documentation.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard, or select Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or Ctrl+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps. Note: For more information about the Quick Access Toolbar, see Customize the Quick Access Toolbar.
On the Summary tab, you can add or edit the Title, Subject, Author, Manager, Company, Category, Keywords (also called Tags), and Comments. Click the File tab. Click Info to view the properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information.
