hi so today Iamp;#39;m gonna be answering a question that Iamp;#39;ve actually wanted to do a video on for a while but I havenamp;#39;t been able to find the time to so what I wanted to do today is I wanted to answer this personamp;#39;s question on camera and explain my reasoning for it so this is a pretty cool question because it shows that some of the content that Iamp;#39;m putting out there is being listened to and not simply ignored so again I get all these requests for things like schematics when I have the URL for the website to get the schematics in the middle of the PDF file on size 72 font and youamp;#39;re still asking so that kind of shows me that youamp;#39;re not really engaging with the content which kind of makes it feel like a complete not a waste of time but then I get questions like this which show me that youamp;#39;re actually watching and paying attention and learning and want to learn more that make it feel like this kind of isnamp;#39;t all the waste o

Ctrl-A to select all (vias). Right click to bring up the context menu, Properties, edit size, OK. Note that its probably better to use the net class mechanism to classify tracks and hence vias, to assign sizes, than to edit their sizes directly.
Minimum-sized vias (0.25-0.3 mm) are typically preferred. Smaller epoxy-filled vias require less material; however, depending on board thickness, smaller vias may necessitate laser drilling.
To modify it, follow these steps: Open a 2D board. Go to Edit and then to Design Rules. Switch tab to Sizes. Modify the Minimum Drill value. Click Apply and close this window. Try to route a trace.
Choose Via Sizes Summary. Via sizes are typically affected by rules set in the PCB Editor - Interactive Routing page of the Preferences dialog. Access. Press Shift+V while interactively routing. Options/Controls. Select a Via in the left-hand pane of the dialog to view and edit the sizes for that Via.
What size of via should I use? I get this a question a lot), and as a general purpose via I can recommend the following sizes: Large: 0.7 mm pad, 0.3 mm drill. Medium: 0.6 mm pad, 0.25 mm drill. Small: 0.5 mm pad, 0.2 mm.
You can modify the width of tracks and the size of vias, without re-routing them, in the properties of the track or via. You can choose a predefined size or set the size to an arbitrary value. You can also change the position of tracks and vias or change a vias start and end layers.
The typical layout shows a via capture pad size of 0.495 mm, a via size of 0.254 mm, and an inner space and trace of 0.102 mm. With this layout, only one trace can be routed between the vias.
Standard Via Sizes The most common via size is 10 mil, which is 7 mil after plating, but via size typically depends on the thickness of the board and is considered an aspect ratio equation. Micro vias, both laser drilled and mechanically drilled 4 mil holes, are related to the thickness of the boards.
