Contact us
Click the title of your file and select Version history. Select a version to open it in a separate window. If you want to restore a previous version youve opened, select Restore.
To make changes to a document, in the upper-right corner, select Edit Document Edit. If someone else created the document, they might not allow editing. You can go to File Save as, save it with another name, and edit the new document. Or you can ask the document owner to enable editing.
Inserting the Document Revision Number Position the insertion point where you want the revision number to appear. Display the Insert tab of the ribbon. Click Quick Parts (in the Text group) and then click Field. Choose Numbering from the Categories list. In the Field Names list choose RevNum.
If you want to include the version history table when opening the document in the client application, click File tab - Info - Version history.
Option 1: Duplicate a page in Word manually. Highlight the text you want to duplicate by clicking and dragging with your mouse. Select Home Copy or press Ctrl + C on your keyboard to copy the text. Select the bottom of the page you just copied. Select Insert Blank Page to create an empty page.
Create a new style based on document formatting In the mini toolbar that appears, click Styles, and then click Create a Style. In the Create New Style from Formatting dialog box, give your style a name and click OK. Your new style will now appear in the Styles gallery.
Use Track Changes Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make. Select Review Track Changes to turn it off. Word stops making new edits, and any made stay in the document.
Turn on Track Changes Go to Review Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select one of the following: To track only the changes that you make to the document, select Just Mine. To track changes to the document made by all users, select For Everyone.
