in solidworks electrical we can easily show any collection of data for a component using attributes while we typically want our normal collection of attributes built right into the symbol there are always cases in drawings where we need extra attributes to display information without editing the fixed symbol in our library here we have a connector that weamp;#39;d like to show its component description in this one instance in our drawing we right click on a symbol choose attributes we choose that attribute from our available list edit its positioning size and orientation make note that you want to edit your XY position and orientation to avoid collision with other texts and also avoid your symbol insertion point you can always go back and edit these as needed we can add flexible text as well from this menu going back to our symbol we see that the attributes have been added and now we can clean up by positioning these different attributes using our normal positioning methods us
