Simply wash and dry the car, apply liquid scratch remover (which costs about $10) or another rubbing compound to a clean microfiber towel and rub against the affected section in a back-and-forth motion for about 60 seconds. Let dry and buff off excess with another towel.
Magic Erasers are made of melamine foam, which acts like an extremely fine sandpaper. Its this abrasive quality that allows it to remove scuffs and marks from various surfaces. When it comes to cars, this same abrasive quality can potentially damage the clear coat or paint if used improperly.
How to Remove Shallow Scratches? Clean the plastic surface with a damp cloth, rubbing in a circular motion around the scratch. Dry the area to remove any dirt which should make the process easier to carry out. Apply a mild abrasive, such as toothpaste, furniture polish, baking soda or plastic polish to the scratch.

Faint scratches are best removed by using sandpaper, followed by wiping them with a microfiber cloth, before finally using a polishing compound. On the other hand, minor scratches require rubbing compound to remove any residue before applying polish.
