For this lesson you need to open the sample file: Sales Report, from your Sample Files folder. Make sure that you open the Session 7 Sales Report file, as thereamp;#39;s also a sample file of the same name in an earlier session. Iamp;#39;m going to begin this lesson by Print Previewing the worksheet to see how it would look on paper. To do that, I click File at the top left of the screen and then Print on the left hand Menu Bar. Notice that I have A4 paper loaded in my printer. But if youamp;#39;re in North America or Canada, you may have Letter size paper loaded into your printer. The sample files in this session have been set up to use A4 paper. Youamp;#39;ll still be able to complete all the lessons in this session if youamp;#39;re using Letter size paper, but you might find that screen grabs and any hard copy printed is slightly different to that shown in this video. International differences in paper sizes will be discussed in depth in Lesson 7-4. Now letamp;#39;s look at th

Short answer: You can change the page orientation in Google Sheets when youre preparing to print a spreadsheet. To do this, go to the File menu, select Print or use the Ctrl+P shortcut (Cmd+P on Mac). Under the Page Orientation section, you can choose between Portrait and Landscape orientation for your document.
In Excel, page setup properties are only available when you print or preview one or more sheets in a workbook. Because of this, you cannot change or return most page setup properties unless at least one printer driver is installed as the default printer.
The file might be locked because: The file is shared and another user is currently editing it. An instance of the Office app is running in the background with the file already opened. The file has been marked as Final and can no longer be updated.
Change the page orientation Select the worksheet or worksheets for which you want to change the orientation. Tip: When multiple worksheets are selected, [Group] appears in the title bar at the top of the worksheet. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Orientation, and then click Portrait or Landscape.
To access the Page Layout view using the View tab in Excel: Step 1: Launch Excel and open a sample file on your system. Step 2: Navigate to the View tab at the top of the screen. Step 3: Click on the Page Layout option right next to the Page Break Preview in the Excel ribbon.
If you dont have a printer set up, the Orientation option will appear dimmed, and you wont be able to select it. To resolve this, you must set up a printer. The option also appears dimmed when youre editing the contents of a cell.
The first thing to check is if you have printer drivers installed in Windows and, if you are using a networked printer, that the printer is online. It could be that if you dont have a printer available to Excel that the program is disabling those options because setting them would have no meaning.
Each sheet can have its own orientation. You just cant have multiple orientations on the same sheet. Image attached, but its hard to show. Left window, sheet12 in my workbook.
