hey everybody so today i have here this is a dell xbs 75 90. itamp;#39;s in here for repair um a lot of what weamp;#39;re going to be going over today is itamp;#39;s based on uh something maybe itamp;#39;s neither not charging the battery isnamp;#39;t charging the ac adapter isnamp;#39;t really charging and just a quick simple uh look at it that you can actually do yourself at home to see really what the problem is so for dell laptops theyamp;#39;re actually really particular about charging and especially chargers if thereamp;#39;s a bad charger it wonamp;#39;t charge the battery because itamp;#39;s in like a safety mode where it wonamp;#39;t do that if thereamp;#39;s a defective charger or if it just doesnamp;#39;t recognize the charger it wonamp;#39;t charge the battery or if the battery is bad obviously itamp;#39;s not gonna charge either i do have this one here weamp;#39;re gonna go open it up and go take a look at really the issue thereamp;#39;s a nice dell laptop

The shifts in the XPS peak is related to its oxidation state and higher shift in binding energy corresponds to higher oxidation state. Some times more shift with noise peak is related to the satellite peak or shake up and it is a case for only some metal or its oxide for example Ni or NiO.
The main cause of the peak shift in XPS spectra is mostly related to chemical shifts due to the presence or absence of the chemical states of the element having different formal oxidation state. And the intensity may also be changed bcos it is directly linked to the number of atoms in the respective chemical state.
Because XPS is a surface technique, there is a limited amount of organic information XPS can provide. XPS is limited to measurements of elements having atomic numbers of 3 or greater, making it unable to detect hydrogen or helium. XPS spectra also take a long time to obtain.
Chemical shift arises in the initial state from the displacement of the electronic charge from the atom towards its ligands, reducing the electrostatic potential at the atom. There is a final state shift due to the polarization of the ligand by the core on the central atom.
The chemical shift in the ESCA spectrumor equivalently in the X-ray spectrais caused by changes in the electron binding energies. Therefore, we shall here consider different ways of calculating the electron binding energy of an atom or a moleculemethods that can also be used to evaluate chemical shifts.
The blue curve indicates a 5-year derivative. The strength of the XPS technique relies on that the chemical environment of an atom has a pronounced effect on the assessed binding energies (BEs) of core-level electrons, the effect commonly referred to as the chemical shift [2].
Chemical shifts in XPS spectra are observed when an element enters a different bound state, which results in changes in the binding energy of core electrons. In general, increased oxidation state (removal of valence electrons) increases the Binding Energy and addition of valence electrons decreases the Binding Energy.
