The Kindle scribe allows for extensive use of PDFs, offering two ways to add them: via USB cable and side loading or using Send to Kindle. When sideloading PDFs, you cannot draw on them. The settings for side loaded PDFs include fonts, top bar, layout, margins, contrast, and highlight menu with an option to turn on/off page turn animations. You can do highlights and notes, but cannot draw on them as the pen is treated as capacitive, similar to using a finger. When using Send to Kindle, the same PDF can be accessed, offering similar features.
