You can modify or add format styles in a Word template. In your Word template, open the Styles pane. In the Styles pane, click the Manage Styles button. In the Manage Styles dialog box, click Modify. In the Modify Styles dialog box, change any of the style definitions. Save and close the template.
In the lower-right corner of the Styles pane, click Options. Under Select styles to show, click All styles. All styles are displayed in the Styles pane.
For example, headings are usually followed by body text. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click to open the Style sheet. In the Styles box, select the style you want to format. Click Modify. On the General tab, in the Style for Following Paragraph list, select a style. Click OK. Click Apply Styles.
