The default behavior in latex is to never break between two headings, so the problem is not the preamble you supplied: it is a feature of latex. Adding text in between headings allows the page to break normally and if you need to force a pagebreak you can manually insert \pagebreak in between two \section commands.
The \pagebreak command tells LaTeX to break the current page at the point of the command. With the optional argument, number , you can convert the \pagebreak command from a demand to a request.
Word automatically adds a break at the end of each page. You can also insert a manual page break anytime you want to start a new page in your document. Put your cursor where you want one page to end and the next to begin. Go to Insert Page Break.
There are two commands to insert page breaks, clearpage and newpage . Below is an example using clearpage . If the command \clearpage is used, and there are stacked floating elements, such as tables or figures, they will be flushed out before starting the new page.
Page breaks in math environments To suggest that LaTeX insert a page break inside an amsmath environment, you may use the \displaybreak command before the line break. Just as with \pagebreak , \displaybreak can take an optional argument between 0 and 4 denoting the level of desirability of a page break.
The \nopagebreak command prevents LaTeX from breaking the current page at the position of the command.
Since the page break is inserted before all the figures are displayed, remaining images are inserted in an empty page before continuing with the text below the break point. If this is not what you need, you can use \newpage instead. In this case the images are placed in the new page trying to fit the text flow.
Use \newpage Command It is straightforward to use, you just need to insert this command at the desired location in your LaTeX document. Output : In this example, the content following \newpage command will start on a new page. You can use this command multiple times to insert multiple page breaks wherever necessary.
