You can reference the same footnote twice using the command \footnotemark for the first time and \footnotemark[\value{footnote}] to reference it the second time.
The easiest way to change margins in LaTeX is by using the geometry package. To use a new package, use the \usepackage{..} function, specifying the package you want to use within curly brackets. You can specify your margins in the square brackets.
The marginnote package offers a versatile alternative to the \marginpar command. marginnote implements margin notes using a non-float mechanism, which is different to how \marginpar works: marginnote resolves some problems but, as its documentation notes, it can introduce others.
You can insert a footnote marker using the \verb|\footnotemark|\footnotemark{} command and later, when youre ready, typeset the footnote text by writing \verb|\footnotetext{Heres the footnote.} |. \footnotetext{Heres the footnote.}
After importing the marginnote package by writing \usepackage{marginnote} you can use the \marginnote command as shown by the two instances in the example text: \marginnote{This is a margin note shifted 2cm, \textit{down} the page, relative to the line in which it is typeset.}[
The TrackChanges GUI allows the author to quickly find and accept, reject or modify the suggested edits. TrackChanges can be used for: Collaborative authoring of a LaTeX document.
In LATEX the command \marginpar[(left)]{(right)} can be used to create a note in the margin. But there is a problem with this command: It creates a special kind of float. So it cannot be used on floats or footnotes. The marginnote package supports another command \marginnote to create notes in the margin.
Creating Margin Notes Open your source document (. doc or . Place your cursor at the point youd like to insert the margin note. Click the Margin Note button and select Create from the drop-down list. Type the margin note (or insert an image) in the left hand column of the table.
The abbreviation ibid (meaning in the same place) can be used to repeat a citation in the immediately preceding footnote. Never italicize or capitalise ibid. In the above example, ibid is followed by a page number (6), which means in the same work, but this time on page 6.
If you need to reference the same footnote multiple times, Google Docs does not support this feature directly. However, you can manually add a superscript number by selecting Format Text Superscript and typing the number of the existing footnote.
