if there is something really frustrating when you work with excel itamp;#39;s when you open a workbook and this workbook has a lot of connection with other workbooks and most of the time those workbooks donamp;#39;t exist anymore so what you have to do is to break this relation between your workbook and the other workbook and for that there is two solutions the first one and the easiest one is to use excel online and also there is an add-in made by bill manville i show you the two solutions so here i have openoffice.com which is my office portal and i have added my credential here and iamp;#39;m going to open the workbook where i have a lot of external connection i have to sign in and when i open this workbook you can see that i have a warning because this workbook has external data connections so i enable them and then the second message tells you that excel is not able to refresh all the link that means there is something broken but when i click here on this button i display a pan

Inserting Check Mark Using Character Codes Open the Symbol dialog by going to Insert Symbol. Choose Wingdings from the font dropdown. Type 252 in the Character code box. This will automatically highlight the check mark symbol. Press Insert.
When you highlight changes as you work, Excel marks any revisions (such as changes, insertions, and deletions) with a highlighting color. Click Review Track Changes, and then click Highlight Changes. In the Highlight Changes dialog box, select the Track changes while editing check box.
The Changes pane shows only the most recent changes. To view changes over a longer period of time, use Version History by selecting File Info Version History and then select a version to preview it.
In the Review tab, select Show Changes. Changes are shown in the pane with the most recent changes on top, in the order the changes were made. You can see who made edits, exactly where in the workbook, when, and what they changed. You can also see Changes made at once by clicking on See changes in a bulk card.
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4) on your keyboard, or select Redo on the Quick Access toolbar. (The Redo button only appears after youve undone an action.)
View previous versions of Office files Open the file you want to view. Click the title of your file and select Version history. Select a version to open it in a separate window. If you want to restore a previous version youve opened, select Restore.
Shared Workbook: The Show Changes option is only available for shared workbooks. If your workbook is not shared, you wont be able to use this feature. Excel Version: The availability of the Show Changes option can vary depending on the version of Excel you are using. Not all versions support this feature.
